We Have a Deal

Today Business Representatives Lenna Phenix and Jim Killey held a ratification meeting in Welland for the members at Vesuvius Canada.
An offer from the company was presented to the members. A question and answer session was conducted with a vote to follow. The ballots were counted and the offer was ratified by 90%.
The highlights on the new 3-year deal were increases in wages, a signing bonus and no mandatory overtime.
Thanks to all the support from passersby and the UNIFOR members. 
The group stayed strong through the week long strike with top marks going out to stewards Ken Noyes & Derek Collins for their leadership.
