We also offer to Stewards the opportunity to be reimbursed for some of the cost of attending Labour Studies courses.
Health & Welfare
For any members of a Local 879 administered health and welfare plan. We offer an on staff person to answer and assist members with the processing and handling of the many claims that are filed

An advocate to assist in W.S.I.B.claims
Assistance With Pensions
We offer on site expertise in handling the various pension plans the Local Union administered by the local union and offer assistance in the filing and processing of all pension papers
Counselling Referrals
For any members of a Local 879 administered health and welfare plan we offer a counselling referral service for those members with issues that must be dealt with out of the context of the collective agreements

The Local Union provides a variety of labour related books/manuals that may be used by stewards with regards to fact finding for possible grievances.
