It all started with a phone call on March 4th to President John McCann.  Sister Willis asked if we could do something to help Ukraine. Brother McCann’s response was “absolutely”.  With a response like that the Teamsters Local 879 took the forefront with a generous donation towards this cause.  Unifor stepped up to the plate as well.  There is also an article on the Sarnia Blackburn News website as well mentioning our Local. (it is under Sarnia Gateway GIVES)

Brother McCann and Brother King attended Sarnia Gateway Casino to take part in the presentation to the Red Cross.

I am incredibly PROUD to be a Teamster and it was a privilege witnessing a “coming together” for the common good of humanity.
