Congratulations Danny!

The Executive Board of Local 879 would like to congratulate Secretary Treasurer Danny Mitchell on his 40th anniversary as a Teamster.

Brother Mitchell joined Local 879 in March 1983 as a Owner Operator at Olex TNT until 1986 when he became a company driver for Yellow Freight before joining the staff at the Local as a Business Representative in March 2011.

In 2016 Brother Mitchell became the Secretary Treasurer for Local 879 as well as the first coordinator for the new Teamsters Canada Solid Waste and Recycling Division.

Having worked in the freight industry during his career, Brother Mitchell has met a lot of interesting characters and made quite a few life long friends along the way.
