It is with tremendous sadness that we have lost one of our own, Union Brother Dave Norkett.
He was a Husband, Father of 2 girls, Brother, Brother-in-law, Uncle and Friend. He’s the kind of guy you could count on to have your back.
He was a Local Union 879 Steward when I first came on staff and in a very short period of time, I felt like I knew him for years.
He was a proud Teamster and a dedicated family man. As an honourary Steward I still brought him coffee when I did a site visit and he always made sure he came out to chat.
This workplace is a small tight-knit group and they are all struggling. Please keep them all in your thoughts, prayers.
Our thoughts and support are with his family, friends, and co-workers as they navigate through the difficult days ahead. It’s a regarded relationship between A Business Representative and their Steward.
It was an absolute privilege to work with you Dave. You will be sorely missed by so manny.
Everyone deserves to come home safe to their family at the end of the day!
