Jim Killey

A Teamster since 1988, I worked at UPS (United Parcel Service) for 22 years and 3 months.

I was the Chief Steward for 14 years at the Stoney Creek facility, a driver trainer, member of the Safety and KORE committees and also attended the 2004, 2010 and 2015 UPS/Teamsters negotiations.

In September 2009, I was selected by Teamsters Canada to help with their organizing campaign of FedEx Courier. On January 3rd/2011, I was brought on board to be part of the 879 team as their organizer.

In 2015, was asked to look after a few of our new groups that were recently organized and I look forward to that challenge as well.

Each year will bring new challenges. Some laws have been changed by our Government that will make organizing more difficult. However, with a strong organizing department, a membership that stands in unity and a dedicated executive board and staff, I am confident that we will face the new hurdles straight on and continue to grow our membership and strength.

We are open to helping any group that needs assistance organizing their workplace.
